Backwards

Backwards 蒸餾酒廠於2013年誕生於美國懷俄明州。採用洛磯山脈水源及當地小農農作並堅持傳統蒸餾及釀造技術，來體現對優質烈酒的欣賞和對非凡事物的追求。

酒廠配備了所有優質設備，設計了一個馬戲團主題的品酒室來展示他們的產品，並開發了他們的首款產品和包裝，隨著 2014 年 Ringleader 伏特加的推出，Backwards 烈酒品牌正式誕生。此後，Backwards 為其馬戲團系列增添了兩款琴酒、一款白蘭姆和一款威士忌。他們也透過開發和推出甜酒品牌 Milk Can Moonshine 來豐富產品組合。Backwards無論在產量、設計包裝，甚至風味呈現上，都給人一種濃濃的古典手工感。

由於 Backwards 的四位創始人 Pollock 家族成員始終追尋著世界的獨特之處，那些略帶奇特、打破常規的事物。秉持著這種精神， 家族構思了一個能夠體現這些特質的品牌。這四位熱愛冒險的人辭去了原有的工作，滿懷熱情地投入烈酒產業。雖然他們原先擁有不同的背景，但他們最終發現精釀烈酒的世界就是他們家族個人興趣的完美交會點。他們從零開始，累積了對這個產業、工藝流程和市場的深入了解。

  • 這款伏特加以濃郁且富有舊世界風味為設計理念，經過輕微過濾，以保留風味並柔化酒體。

    以小麥為基底，帶出一絲細膩的甜味，口感滑順，餘韻則帶有淡淡焦糖與奶油太妃糖的香氣。

  • 採用100%路易斯安那州的濃縮甘蔗汁蒸餾。這款蘭姆酒口感清爽，甘蔗味濃郁，帶有熱帶水果的香氣。此外，還帶有一絲淡淡的草本氣息。

  • 這款海軍強度琴酒（Navy Strength Gin）以濃郁杜松風味為核心設計，經過浸漬工藝，使杜松子風味更加深沉，並加入粉紅、綠色與黑色胡椒粒，賦予其獨特辛香口感。

    由於其高酒精濃度，含有豐富精油，因此在加水稀釋後會產生輕微乳化現象。

  • 這款琴酒採用蒸氣蒸餾法，透過草本配方展現出明亮輕盈的酒體特質，溫和的杜松香氣與柑橘風味達到絕妙平衡。

  • Milk Can

    由玉米和甜菜糖蒸餾而成

    然後，我們將整根肉桂棒浸入其中，並加入紅糖略微調味，賦予其正宗的烘焙肉桂風味。不含人工香料或色素！

  • 這款波本威士忌在新美國橡木桶中陳釀7.5年後，展現出泥土氣息。並在使用過的艾雷島蘇格蘭酒桶中陳釀，賦予它微妙的泥煤和麥芽香氣。在陳釀7.5年後，它在蘇格蘭酒桶中靜置了6個月。這款酒以「Cask Strength」（桶裝強度）裝瓶，酒精濃度為60% ABV. 是我們的限量版和高端威士忌完美的單桶陳釀。

  • 這款威士忌品牌的靈感源自卡斯帕堡 (Fort Caspar) 的 11 塊墓碑。這些墓碑屬於駐紮於此的騎兵部隊士兵, 此品牌與當地的騎兵鼓號 (Troopers Drum and Bugle corp) 合作，這是一個傳統的軍樂隊式組織，已有 100 多年的歷史。

    這款威士忌產量不多（僅 3 桶），陳釀時間在 7.5 至 9.5 年之間。它散發著牧豆樹煙燻的香氣和淡淡的黑麥香料味。這是 Backwards 迄今為止推出的陳桶最久的威士忌，也是我們試圖在產品中捕捉到的最具「西部」色彩的故事。其風味旨在體現狂野西部的粗獷精神。


  • • 主要成分為小麥，並添加少量玉米和大麥

    • 比波本威士忌更柔和、更甜美、更滑順

    • 在新的美國橡木桶中陳釀4年，最後用烘烤過的橡木桶板進行收尾，增添草本氣息

創立至今已12年的 Backwards，除了絕大部分的釀酒原料來自當地，釀造出來的酒款，也幾乎都是在當地就銷售完畢。台灣市場的引進，是 Backwards 走出美國的第一次。

一手將 Backwards 代理進來的 Ann羅安年，在接觸 Backwards 前只是一位愛喝酒的半科技人。「閱酒」無數的她，在懷俄明州亞太商務辦事處辦公室首次喝到 Backwards 產品，讓她感受到不同以往的味覺感動

Ann：「對酒類代理一竅不通的我，立刻就向 Backwards 要求代理，反正就算賣不掉，我也絕對可以把它們喝掉！（笑）」
